Fire!! Fire!! Witch Fire! Ruuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuun

En este minuto está la cagada por los alrededores de San Diego y de la Universidad..ayer empezaron unos vientos bien fuerte y se iniciaron unos incendios que hasta el momento no han podido parar.


Miles de personas ya han sido evacuadas y otras tantas ya han perdido sus casa debido a este desastre...

Por el momento las clases de hoy y de mañana (martes) han sido suspendidas y se cree que podrían suspender las del miércoles también debido a la mala calidad del aire, hay cenizas por todas partes.


Los rumores dicen que podríamos ser evacuados si es que los incendios continúan..después de todo el fire drill (vean post del jueves 18 de octubre) que tuvimos no fue tan mala idea.

ALL ACADEMICS AND STAFF AT UCSD (including UCSD Medical Center)

ALL STUDENTS AT UCSD

SUBJECT: CAMPUS CLOSURE

The University of California San Diego has closed the campus and
cancelled classes due to the proximity of the wildfires and the
extremely unhealthy quality of the air. All non-essential personnel
are encouraged not to come to the campus today.

This is a precautionary measure for health and safety. The San
Diego Air Pollution Control Dirstrict's forecast for today's Air
Quality Index (AQI) predicts levels to be "unhealthy". Please try
to stay indoors.

Students with health problems may visit the UCSD Student Health
Service. Faculty and staff with health issues may visit the emergency
room at UCSD Medical Center.

Be assured that currently the physical campus is not in any immediate
danger. Please access the UCSD website (www.ucsd.edu) for updates
during the day.

Right now, there IS NO MANDATORY EVACUATION, but in the event please put aside some crucial items to have handy :

1) Identification

2) Room keys

3) Cell phone

4) Eyeglasses (if needed) or any prescription medication

5) Closed-toe, comfortable shoes

6) A jacket, sweatshirt, or other warm clothing

7) A flashlight (if they have one)

Hello everyone, since campus is closed PLEASE try and stay indoors! If you
need any assistance contact your R.A. and in the case of emergencies, call
the campus police line. Cafe Ventanas will be open for meals, but RIMAC
and all other services will not. Student Health is also available for
those who need medical assistance. Check Tritonlink for updates and stay
safe! ;)
